Specialist, Test Data Engineering

We are now looking for a Specialist to focus on Test Data Engineering! Our Cloud Services is focused on ensuring the smooth running of service in production. Our goal is to ensure that the banking and insurance business has reliable and cost-effective production environments that meet the needs of its applications. We also make sure that development and test environments meet the needs of both development projects and agile teams.

What is the role and team like? 

In this Specialist role you will manage test data in OP Financial Group level, and you will be responsible that different stakeholders within the organization.

You are also responsible for developing related capabilities e.g., for new sanitization capabilities for Azure, as well as creating the sanitation of test data. You develop different solutions which make usage of test data more effective with good quality.

You will coach your colleagues from different sides of OP in test data management, and train common test management practices based on your quality assurance area. Your goal is to share your expertise and knowledge related to test data management to make operating with test data management easier and to improve capabilities to manage test data at OP.

You also make sure that testing and test data management methods with the test data are supporting and in line with our architecture, DevOps, and design principles.

This position is located in Helsinki, Finland. Like the rest of OP, we work flexibly, combining both office days and remote work within Finland borders. In this role this means about 1-2 office days per week.

What do we expect from you?

We know this position is rather challenging and needs quite a lot of expertise. Yet, we are listing below the skillset we are looking for:
•    You understand how the test data management, test data generation and sanitization included lives along the test lifecycle.
•    You have ability to refine and develop the working practices within TDM to the next level: you can spot issues within test data management, make them visible to our experts and help to also mitigate them.
This means that essentially you have following experience:
•    Data Modelling and Data management practices skills
•    Software design, development, and programming skills 
•    Automation and sanitization tools
•    Strong SQL-language and database skills.
•    Regulation understanding related to test data (e.g., GDPR) 
•    Good team working and communication skills. Strong English skills are required in this role.
•    Used to work in multicultural teams, located both onsite and offsite.
•    Capable to drive development activities quite independently.

Following things are seen as an advantage in the role:
•    Finance and Insurance business sectors understanding.
•    Virtualization technology understanding (for example Docker, AWS, Azure and Delphix)
•    Automation Tools understanding (for example Robot framework, LoadRunner, Broadcom TDM, Optim and Delphix)
•    Sanitization related tools understanding (for example ETL IBM Data Stage)
•    Operating systems understanding (for example Windows, Linux, Unix, and Mainframe)
