Alliances Partner Development Manager

You’ll be part of an experienced team with exposure to different geographies of the world by developing, enhancing, and managing interline and codeshare partnerships as well as evaluating and implementing more strategic airline cooperations.

Key objectives:

 

  • Facilitate the transition from Star Alliance to SkyTeam, ensuring compliance with admission criteria.
  • Continuously develop tools, such as those to facilitate the evaluation of the partnerships, to expedite the monitoring of partner performance and to support the commercial teams.
  • Identify, secure, and develop new partnership opportunities to support SAS´ international network growth. 
  • Seamlessly integrate of up to 19 SkyTeam member carriers and unlock extended network expansion within SkyTeam.

 

Key responsibility:

  • Collaborate with Alliance managers to implement airline partnerships.
  • Ensure smooth operation of codeshare and interline partnerships.
  • Provide strategic interline modeling and analysis.
  • Integrate SkyTeam requirements for an unparalleled customer experience and contribute information and recommendations to partnership strategic plans within the relevant stakeholders in SAS.
  • Continuously monitor the competitive environment, make concrete recommendations to defend and improve SAS’ competitive position through partnership development and/or existing partnership enhancements.

Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Proficient in project management and leadership skills in complex environments to drive initiatives across organizations
  • Flexible, adaptable, and business savvy.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical acumen with keen attention to details.
  • Ability to manage complex programs and conflicting demands.
  • Fluency in English.

 

Experience:

  • Post-secondary degree and 5+ years’ experience in the commercial branch of an airline, transportation, travel, or related industry
  • Commercial airline or corporate business travel experience within sales, revenue or network management, pricing or partnership management is desirable
  • Proven track record in motivating cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities in evaluating business cases for strategic partnerships.
  • Strong team orientation with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent Word, Excel and PowerPoint capability
