We are searching for you as our new Nordic Disease Area Specialist within Nordic Medical Affairs, Oncology/Gastrointestinal cancer. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a dedicated and growing team that develops and executes our new medical-scientific strategy within Gastrointestinal cancer. The Nordic Disease Area Specialist reports to the Therapeutic Area Lead (TAL) Gastrointestinal cancer. The Gastrointestinal Cancer Medical team is part of the cross-functional Nordic Oncology Business Unit.
The location of the role is any of the Nordic offices.

The Gastrointestinal Cancer franchise includes approved treatments and pipeline projects across multiple stages and types of gastrointestinal cancers including hepatocellular cancer, biliary track cancer and gastric cancer. Accountabilities:
The Disease Area Specialist (DAS) is mainly office-based but also engages in in-depth medical and scientific discussions both externally and internally. Additionally, the DAS is responsible for outlining the Nordic medical strategy in collaboration with the Therapeutic Area Lead and in line with the Global Medical Activity Plan. The DAS acts as a resource to team members and peers and should demonstrate collaborative cross-functional working relationships within the Nordic Business Unit.
Key focus for the role is:
Act as a specialist on the overall Gastrointestinal Cancer disease area
Be responsible for delivering scientific activities across the Nordics in support of the overarching brand objectives, including external scientific expert engagement planning and implementation.
Evidence generation and value propositions
Partner with healthcare systems to address challenges in clinical practice within Gastrointestinal cancer
Essential Skills/Experience:
Advanced scientific degree and/or master’s degree or MD in life sciences or a related subject area
Ability to travel among the Nordics countries as well as international conferences and regional meetings
Proficiency (both written and spoken) English
We are looking for a team player and a strategic problem solver with sophisticated project management skills. Additionally master the art of adaptive communication based on new data, apply insight generation to see opportunities for improvement, and ecosystem collaboration to co-create new solutions.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
Clinical and/or research experience within Gastrointestinal cancer
Experience from medical affairs
Strong informal leadership and management capabilities
