In the role as Sourcing Category Manager- electric & electronics you will be joining a dedicated team of 8 colleagues, that on a day to day basis make an real impact in the business. The team works in close collaboration with colleagues within Sourcing and other departments but also in close alignment with our strategic initiatives enabling change for Husqvarna Group though their work.
You will also be joining the function during a change journey where your input might affect the direction of change. Finally you will also work in a global context with colleagues and partners from all over the world with great development opportunities enabling personal and professional growth.
About the position:
As a Sourcing Category Manager you are part of a highly motivated team of Category Managers and Operational Buyers and you report to Senior Director of Electric & Electronic Global Categories.
Your primary responsibility is to develop and apply business strategy and relationship management, deliver value in terms of quality, delivery, cost efficiency and sustainability for your category during the full product life cycle.
The role requires travelling abroad to suppliers as well as some of Husqvarna's Key sites.
Areas of responsibilities (among others):
- Be ultimately responsible for all commercial relations with the suppliers within your categories and secure set targets of cost, quality, delivery and sustainability.
- For your categories - create long term strategies, well anchored with internal stakeholders, to deliver optimized value and drive implementation of the same.
- Develop and maintain supplier agreements.
- Manage sourcing projects and lead negotiations of commercial terms and conditions.
- Build and maintain mutually beneficial relations with important suppliers in order to improve supplier performance and collaboration, not only to decrease costs and eliminate waste but also to utilize the suppliers full potential in areas such as product development and innovation.
- Build and maintain strong internal relations within sourcing functions such as Project Sourcing, Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Development but also with other internal stakeholders such as R&D, Logistics and Manufacturing.
- Set up and manage the annual budget of cost saving activities and negotiations
Who you are:
To succeed in this position you need experience working with electrical/ electronics components and at least 5-6 years of experience in similar tasks. You have a University Degree in a relevant field such as electrical/electronic engineering or a more commercial education, and have acquired technical knowledge through work or further studies.
As a person we see that you have a collaborative mindset, structured working method, and a strong desire to drive change and improvements. Fluent English, both written and spoken is required.
Location:
Preferred location are Huskvarna but possible locations are Stockholm or Gothenburg.
