Wilhelmsen Ship Management AS is looking for a Marine HR Associate to cover a 14 month temporary position, with the possibility of permanent employment.
The Marine HR Associate plays a vital role in the crewing and HR operations for assigned vessels. This is an exciting opportunity, where you will contribute to the success of one of the main players in the Maritime industry.
What you will work with:
The Marine HR Associate will report to the Marine HR Manager. Joining a team of a group of other dedicated Marine HR Specialists.
What you will work on:
Handling HR matters concerning the manning of vessels with qualified, certified, and medically fit personnel for assigned vessels
Handling planning and placement activities of seafarers for assigned vessels
Liaise with travel agencies, port agents and vessel
Ensure high-level seafarer compliance with flag state and company requirements
Ensure crew database is fully updated for assigned fleet
Assist and follow up on the cost control for assigned vessels
Assist and follow up on P&I cases
Participate in vessel visits as required by Client and Marine HR Management
Participate in internal and external audits as required
Follow up on seafarer feedback surveys and propose improvements
Monitor assigned Marine Personnel agents serving assigned fleet operate according to WSM and Client requirements
Actively participate in process improvements and implementations concerning Marine HR
Actively contribute to enhance seafarer satisfaction with WSM
Identify and contribute to training and competency development needs to Competence Development & Training
Participate in special projects as given by Marine HR Management
What we believe you need to success in the role:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent. Work experience may compensate
Understanding of Crewing and HR processes and tools
Understanding of the business and how HR can contribute to delivering on business strategy and goals
Customer focused
Team player with a proactive and solution-oriented approach
Efficient decision-maker
Excellent English communication skills
